The Jury of the FEANTSA Ending Homelessness Awards 2017 will meet at the FEANTSA offices on Wednesday 6 September to choose the top three winners of the prize. The jury is made up of a range of experts from anti-poverty NGOs and the European Commission.
A total of 12 innovative applications have been received from around Europe - all of which are great examples of how the European Social Fund can be used to tackle homelessness. Once the top three winners have been chosen, they will be contacted and invited to attend the RegioStars Awards in Brussels on 10 October, where the first place winner will receive the award in front of some of the EU's top stakeholders and policy-makers. The RegioStars Awards form part of the European Week of Regions and Cities - a key event in the EU calendar made up of over 100 events taking place all over Brussels.
FEANTSA will also be hosting a workshop as part of the EWRC, entitled 'ESIF and the fight against homelessness' which will be attended by participants from a range of local authorities, NGOs and EU institutions, all with an interest in sharing good practices and using the European Social and Investment Funds to combat homelessness.
FEANTSA's members and wider network are warmly encouraged to attend the awards ceremony and Workshop - both of which are taking place on Tuesday 10 October.
(Please note that both events are organised by the European Commission and therefore you must register through the link and not via the FEANTSA Secretariat).
