Elisabeth Hammer and Daniela Unterholzner, the Managing Directors of Austrian homelessness organisation, Neunerhaus, have spoken in an interview to major Austrian newspaper, Der Standard, about the increasing risk of homelessness among the middle classes. The traditional profile of a homeless person is changing, they explained, in part due to rising rents in the private sector as well as a shortage of social housing.
