The UK Housing Secretary James Brokenshire MP has allocated over £25 million to pilot Housing First schemes in three regions of England – Manchester, Liverpool, and the West Midlands. The pilots aim to support around 1,000 rough sleepers, as well as those at risk of rough sleeping, throughout the three regions. The Housing Secretary stated that “The evidence shows Housing First has an incredible rate of success in providing rough sleepers with the support they need to get off the streets and to rebuild their lives.” For more information, see here.
