FEANTSA has written an op-ed for Social Europe on mobile EU citizens experiencing homelessness, analysing the blind spots in EU free movement legislation. The article addresses the scale of the problem and its consequences for vulnerable mobile EU citizens, many of whom end up in destitution or homelessness in their country of residence. The authors therefore argue for guaranteeing the right to housing for all, including mobile EU citizens with precarious residence status, and for changes in the European Commission's forthcoming Communication on the Free Movement Directive (2004/38).
