Warsaw Endorses the Homeless Bill of Rights

On December 21st, the city of Warsaw formally endorsed the Homeless Bill of Rights, thereby joining a growing group of European cities and becoming the second Polish city to support the Bill, after Gdańsk.

The Homeless Bill of Rights is a compilation of basic rights drawn from European and international human rights instruments specific to the situation of homeless people. The aim of this European campaign is to encourage cities in Europe to reaffirm their commitment to respect the rights of all people experiencing homelessness.

International obligations oblige Member States to end homelessness by 2030. Under the European platform to combat homelessness, European institutions, EU governments and civil society have committed to working together to combat homelessness in the EU. Find out how your city can endorse it here.

FEANTSA welcomes Warsaw’s effort to protect the fundamental rights of people experiencing #homelessness.
