Welcome back to the FEANTSA Flash!
Although work has slowed down with the arrival of summer, there have been a lot of important developments in the field of homelessness this month, both positive and negative. New studies and publications, such as the first ever German count of people experiencing homelessness, have improved our understanding of homelessness. However, events like the heatwave in Europe this month have once again highlighted the vulnerability of people living in homelessness.
In our own news, FEANTSA has focused on publishing resources in July. We have a new report out on financing the Social Climate Fund, have published a series of modules on working with mobile EU citizens, and have set up a landing page with resources on support responses for refugees arriving from Ukraine. We have also put out the summer edition of our Homeless in Europe magazine. This edition is incredibly important and quite different from previous ones as it focuses on the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on homelessness.
Read on to find out more about those topics and many more! As every year, there will be no newsletter in August, but we will be back in September to keep you updated on the latest news and developments on homelessness in Europe.
As always, if you have a tip for the Flash please feel free to get in touch.
