The City of Vienna has announced that it will provide an extra 900 emergency beds as part of its annual Winter Package. 300 are open all year round, with these 900 bringing the total number of beds to 1,200. The implementation of the Winter Plan will be carried out with several NGOs including Caritas, Red Cross, Samariterbund, Volkshilfe andJohannitern. Click here for more information (in German).
