On the 12 & 13 December 2018 FEANTSA and the City of Westminster will co-host a European Peer Review led by Professor Nicholas Pleace. The event will evaluate Westminster City Council's Homelessness Employment and Learning Project (HELP) in addition to exploring how cities can develop and deliver integrated housing and employment services.
Nicholas Pleace, Director and Professor of Social Policy at the University of York’s Centre for Housing Policy, will review the success of the HELP project against its EU objectives and evaluate HELP as a part of Westminster’s wider homelessness prevention strategy. He will prepare a discussion paper describing the HELP social policy innovation in detail, highlight challenges and strengths of the model, and propose key questions for consideration.
The discussion paper will be circulated to the invitees three weeks before; each participating city will be asked to prepare reactions and following the Peer Review a report summarising the feedback will be issued following the event.
The Peer Review is primarily targetted towards city administrations interested in learning more about integrating housing and employment services. Participating cities will also have the opportunity to share their practices.
Funding: Please note FEANTSA has a limited travel budget for the Peer Review. If you would like to learn more about funds please contact robbie.stakelum@feantsa.org
