Welcome back to the FEANTSA Flash!

Normally, we like to begin the Flash with a light-hearted comment about the weather or season. But this time around, July is on track to be the hottest month on record. The continuing increase in global temperature has resulted in parts of Europe reaching unsustainable and life-threatening levels, exacerbating the already dire situation of those living in homelessness. There is a vital need for proactive care and protective measures to reduce the impact of extreme temperatures on the most vulnerable, who suffer the most from crises such as this. We may begin with the recommendations of the Fédération des Acteurs de la Solidarité, which you can find in this month's Flash.

Luckily, elsewhere we can see some positive developments, such as in policy – with Spain approving their new Strategy to Combat Homelessness, and five events on homelessness on the EU’s second Semester agenda. 

Don’t miss out on the chance to register for our events in September; from the launch of the 8th Annual Overview of Housing Exclusion in Europe to the 17th Research Conference on Homelessness, it will be a busy month. Keep in mind, we won't be sending out our usual Flash in August, so there won't be a handy reminder!
