After achieving national acclaim in Ireland, the High Hopes Choir of formerly homeless people gave a concert at the European Parliament on 21 March 2017 at the invitation of five Irish MEPs. This preceded a seminar on homelessness the following day, which marked the launch of the Second Overview of Housing Exclusion in Europe with presentations by FEANTSA’s Chloé Serme-Morin and Ruth Owen, and Fondation Abbé Pierre’s Sarah Coupechoux and Manuel Domergue. The seminar was also the occasion of the launch of FEANTSA’s Be Fair, Europe – Stand up for Homeless People! campaign, where FEANTSA’s director Freek Spinnewijn unveiled the campaign manifesto and opened applications for the FEANTSA Ending Homelessness Awards 2017.
